Sophisticated geometric accent combined with the use of exotic material for furniture is one of the most interesting aspect of Art Deco Design. Art Deco Design is known for it’s concept of glamorous and elegant living space which gain it’s popularity around 1920's. Even so, until these days, Art Deco Design still fits in with it modern and everlasting looks. Moreover, Art Deco Design became an inspiration for Mid-Century Modern Design style, which once trending in Indonesia around the 90's.
One unique trait of Art Deco Design is the use of unusual geometric lines. Shapes such as square, rectangular and arch are commonly use in most interior design style. But in Art Deco Design, we often found the use of geometric shapes such as trapezium, zig zag, spiral, triangle and decorations and ornament with complex details.

Furniture
The design of custom furniture for Art Deco Design is always fun and expressive. It has larger size with interesting shapes and unique details. The dominating material that use for the furniture are metal, glass, stones like marble and granite, and crystal, real or synthetic ones.
Since the concept of Art Deco Design is glamorous and opulence, larger size furniture will help us create the looks. However, with larger furniture sure will take up some good amount of free space. But, it’s still possible for Art Deco Design to be applied in a smaller space.
In a limited space, the main furniture piece is usually placed in the middle of the living room, it serve as a ‘centerpiece’, the main attraction of the design. Put on some more decorative items and ornament for more aesthetic looks of the room.
Using mirror is also important. It creates an ‘optical illusion’ of a bigger room and it also will make the room look luxurious.
Accent
Gold and silver and other metallic colors are dominating Art Deco Design, with some black and white for additional details. These colors are use as accents and also in decorations. As light calm color is use in the background to balanced out the glamorous vibe in the room.
